Meet the Staff

Amy Parker, General Manager

Amy leads our hotel team, having gained valuable management experience in Honolulu before moving to Michigan in 2000. Prior to locating in Michigan, Amy managed hotels in Waikiki and is an alumnus of the University of Hawaii. She models the commitment we have of creating exceptional experiences for all of our guests!

Tom Maloney, Front Office Manager

Tom has over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry. He has a Business Management degree from Oakland University and has lived in Traverse City for 9 years. In his years at the Park Place, Tom has been involved in defining and implementing standards and best practices to benefit our hotel and our guests.

Margaret Morse, Director of Sales & Marketing

A native of the Detroit area with an extensive background in marketing and sales, Margaret has been in Traverse City since 1980. She is passionate about the hotel, the area, and working with clients and staff to define objectives and exceed the expectations of everyone involved. Margaret has over 25 years of experience in the industry, and came to the Park Place after 11 years as National Sales Manager at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

Marc Pritchard, Executive Chef

Marc came to the United States from Birmingham, England, where he received his degree in culinary arts from the Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies. He began his training at Metropole Hotels under the Italian chef Giovanni DeVitto. Marc was welcomed to the Park Place in 1997 as Comis Chef, and two years later accepted the position of Sous Chef. In 2002 he became Executive Chef, and as such oversees all catering functions within the hotel and operations in Minervas Restaurant.

Jesse Rollo, Catering & Convention Services Manager

Jesse has over 17 years of experience in the food & beverage industry. He has been at the Park Place for over 7 years, working for over 4 years as Banquet Manager before being promoted to his current position.

Mike Ruede, Food & Beverage Director

A graduate of Central Michigan University, Mike oversees all food & beverage operations at the Park Place, including banquet and convention services, Minervas and the Beacon Lounge. Mike was Director of Catering at the Park Place for four years, and as such has been responsible for the success of many weddings and special events held here. Prior to joining the PPH team in 2000, Mike directed the summer conferences and student housing operations at Northwestern Michigan College.

Lisa Monache, Sales Manager

Lisa joined the staff of the Park Place with over 20 years of conference sales experience, most recently with the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa and Shanty Creek Resort. Lisa specializes in building relationships with – and loyalty to – her clients by offering exceptional service and value. Lisa is happy to be a part of the Park Place family and genuinely feels as if she has ‘come home’.
